Welcome to the Connecticut State Music Teachers Association (CSMTA) website, dedicated to the advancement of music and the growth of musicians of all ages and levels. Today’s membership consists of more than 200 music teachers in independent studios, conservatories and music schools across the state, who strive to encourage and uphold high standards of music teaching and artistic performance, maintain channels of communication between private music teachers and the community, promote good will and friendship among professional musicians and teachers, stimulate interest in musical activities within the local community and the state, and support the aims and objectives of the Music Teachers National Association. Welcome from the President
Dear Colleagues & Members,
It is with great pleasure that I wish you all a happy, healthy New Year full of happiness and more success in your personal and professional lives.
As 2021 new term presidency of CSMTA, thank you for allowing me the opportunity to further serve our organization. We are as a team to strive to be on the cutting edge of the profession.
Being a member of team, I want to give thanks to the executive board officers under the past president Suzan Korman’s devoted leadership, to Linda Hinz as our treasurer for taking good care of our budgets in good standing, to Linda Franklin-Biggs as our immediate past president for all the time dedicating with enthusiastic to CSMTA for so many years, to Julie Hague, being our promptly efficient recording secretary and now be our web master. To all our state executive board members, local chapter leaders, thank you for your contribution and serving on the board to help our CSMTA grow to be better and bigger. To all our members, be loyalty and support our state music teacher’s organization. Please know that our organization won’t be successful as today without your contribution and dedication. We are grateful to have you together.
As 2021 new CSMTA executive officers here, I am with Asmik Formin, Linda Franklin- Biggs, Benjamin Steinhardt, Suzan Korman, we are looking forward to serving you, providing more resources, supporting local chapters, developing the projects and bring more opportunities, benefits to our members. In the meantime, I am here to suggest setting special recognitions to our members, leaders, volunteers, vendors who have contributed their skills, professions, valuable time to CSMTA for the years being. We shall remember their dedications and contributions.
We shall also open our doors to welcome more teachers, students internationally to join our organization. Especially for the new 21st century, the technologies enable us to learn and develop in effective and efficient ways. We shall listen your creative ideas, help and work to get better resolution. We will build platforms, opportunities for our teachers and students, bring new associates and partners to CSMTA.
